About me

Hello, I'm Diane Swanton and I'm a psychodynamic counsellor. I am an accredited member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), and I hold a Diploma in Psychodynamic Counselling which is accredited by the BACP.

 

My work is underpinned by compliance with the professional standards set out in the BACP Ethical Framework.

I hold a Masters degree in Psychology - so my approach combines my experiences and study of both counselling and psychology.

​

I provide online, telephone and in person counselling. For in person counselling, I am based in a consulting room in East Finchley.

​

I have previously worked at counselling charities and as part of the counselling service for an adult education college in central London.

I have worked with people who have experienced:

- Anxiety

- Depression

- The impact of long-term health conditions

- Self-harm

- Sexual abuse

- Bereavement

- Eating difficulties

- Suicidal thoughts and feelings

- Relationship difficulties

- Low self-esteem
